General Mills grant to pay for new uniforms in the fall (2 Comments)

General Mills, the Minnesota-based company with a plant near Avon, has rewarded our Club with a very generous grant of $5,000! Avon plant manager Steve Curran presented the check to Club president Joy LeClaire in early March on behalf of the employees at Avon (right).

The grant money will go into a fund to pay for new uniforms for our u10 and older teams for the fall season!

Starting in the fall 2009 season, uniforms will be available to the first 125 registered and paid players (u10 and up), so register and pay early!

The Club has chosen new uniforms - gray/black/white jerseys, gray/black/white shorts and gray socks - for the fall season. The uniforms will feature the Carlisle Soccer Club’s full-color crest on the chest and red block numerals on the back.

Here’s how it will work for the fall season:

1.) Registration for the fall season begins today.(click here to go to the registration page

2.) The Club Registrar will provide a list of the first 125 registered and paid players to Soccer Connections on Grand Ave. in West Des Moines on or about July 1st. Only 125 players registered and paid will be eligible for a free uniform. When you order your uniform, your player’s name will be checked off the list.

These funds are available for the new gray uniforms. U6 and U8 uniforms will be the responsibility of the players and their families, but the uniform will include only red t-shirts (we’re eliminating the white t-shirt to keep costs down, and will use pinnies during in-house games).
