Yes, it’s that time of year. Registration for the spring season is now open. Before registering, please read the following updated information. As some of you may know, we register this early because of the complex steps required to register teams with the Greater Des Moines Junior Soccer League (GDMJSL). In the coming weeks, we have to assign teams, find coaches and turn rosters into GDMJSL)…and that all takes time by our volunteers.

Players are assigned teams on a first-come-first-served basis. Remember: until full payment is received - either by credit card online or by check delivered to Dawn Payne, registrar - players will not be assigned a team. 

Register early before late fees begin on Jan 15 and use a credit card to make sure your child is placed on a team. This helps you get it done so you don’t forget and have to pay a late fee, and it makes it much easier on our coaches, registrar and others who are working hard to get ready for the season.

Team setting will begin Jan 15th. All data is submitted to GDMJSL on Feb 1 and we receive all of our team data back from them about mid-March at which point you should be hearing from your coach. 

Spring season games start on March 31/April 1.

 

Below is some important information that you’ll need to read during the registration. Each year, we have people surprised by this information, even though they had to check off boxes indicating that they’ve read it, so please take a few minutes to read this BEFORE you begin registration:
  • Uniforms - can be purchased from VanGinkel Sporting Goods at 2208 Ingersoll Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312 (244-7718). They’ll need about a week’s notice so don’t wait until the last minute. Games start on the weekend of March 31..
  • Fees: We allow for a multi-child discount after the first child is registered.  The 10% reduction will apply online when selecting to register a sibling.
  • U6 charge of $65 (multi child discount is $6.50)
  • U8 charge of $75  (multi child discount is $7.50)
  • U10 charge of $ 80 (multi child discount is $8.00)
  • U12 charge of $85 (multi child discount is $8.50)
  • U14 to U19 charge of $90  (multi child discount is $9.00)
  • Late fees will apply for any registrants or for late payment or birth certificate information on June 15 for Fall season and January 15 for Spring season.
  • A volunteer buyout fee is expected to be paid at time of registration if you do not intend to volunteer to help the Club. At least one parent volunteer per child.  If you do not fulfill your volunteer obligation by the end of the season, you will be assessed a $50 fee.
  • Head Coaches receive a 50% discount on each child coached. If you are unsure how to have the amount applied,  contact the Registrar.
  • New Coaches need to review the Coaches page and fill out the New Coach Forms on the link provided there.
     

Soccer Scholarships
The Carlisle Soccer Club offers a number of scholarships to players for whom the registration fees are a barrier. Download this scholarship application form to learn more and apply for a scholarship.
