Hello Carlisle Soccer Families,

The Carlisle Soccer Club is excited to announce an amazing new opportunity for Carlisle Soccer players aged 11-14! In partnership with Iowa Soccer, Carlisle Soccer Club will be implementing a Referee Development Program and hosting a New Referee Clinic Sunday 8/27/23 10:00am-11:30am at the Carlisle Soccer Complex.

The Referee Development Program is designed to introduce 11–14-year-olds to soccer refereeing in a controlled, and relaxed atmosphere. On Sunday 8/27/23, former professional referee and Iowa Soccer Referee & Sportsmanship Director, Hidajet Tica, will host a FREE clinic for all interested participants. During the clinic participants will learn about the rules of the game and how to referee soccer games at the U8 level (6–7-year-old players). Each participant will receive a complimentary t-shirt, whistle, and watch.

Upon completion of the training all participants will be eligible to referee Carlisle Soccer U8 games in the upcoming Fall season. U8 games consist of four 10-minute quarters and our newly trained referees will earn $20 for every U8 game they referee! Carlisle Soccer Club will work with parents/guardians to coordinate game scheduling and payment.

Eligible Participants must be:

• Registered as a soccer player through Iowa Soccer
• Aged 11-14 years old during the Fall 2023 season (birth year of 2009-2011)
